Liu Yuting, is now serving as Director-General of Accounting Regulatory Department of Ministry of Finance (“MOF”). He is a member of China Accounting Standards Committee and the director of the Administrative Office under the Committee. He graduated from Accounting Department of Tianjin College of Finance and Economics in 1978. In 2000, he graduated with Doctor Degree of Management (Accounting) from Xiamen University.  |  | Mr. Liu has served as Section Chief, Deputy Director, Director, Deputy Director-General and Director-General of the Accounting Regulatory Department of Ministry of inance. And he has been the executive director of the 5th and 6th Council of Accounting Society of China (ASC). He was also the Secretary-General of the 5th Council of ASC and editor in chief of Accounting Research. From 1995 to 1997, he served with the Chinese specialist sub-group as part of the Sino-British Joint and Liaison Team for preparing the budget for the transition period of Hong Kong, and participated in drawing up the budget plan for the transition period of Hong Kong. From 1999 to 2003, he was appointed to the member of the 4th and 5th committee for IPO examining and verifying under China Securities Regulatory Commission. From 2003, he has served as the member of the national directory committee of Master of Professional Accountants (MPAcc) Education, the member of the expert committee for evaluating senior teacher posts in Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen national accounting institutes as well as the member of the evaluation committee of senior professions in economics and accounting in the institutions under the Ministry of Finance. Since 1993, he has been engaged as an expert for designing and examining the questions in Chinese CPA examination and the National Examinations for Accounting Qualification. |  | Mr. Liu has been engaged in the studies of accounting theory and practice related to accounting standards and systems in China for a long time. He managed, or participated in drawing up the Accounting Standards for Business Enterprises, the Accounting System for Business Enterprise, the Accounting System for Financial Businesses Enterprises, etc. He is serving as part-time Professor of Remin University of China, Xiamen University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Nanjing University, Zhongshan University, Northeast University of Finance and Economics, Central University of Finance and Economics, Tianjin College of Finance and Economics, Capital University of Economics and Business, Beijing Technology and Business University and Hunan University. Mr. Liu is the tutor for the doctorate program of the Northeast University of Finance and Economics. |  | Mr. Liu is the chief editor of more than 10 publications on accounting including the one titled “The Theories and Practices of Accounting System Reform in China”. In addition, he has published over 30 papers and managed several key research projects of MOF, including impairment of assets and governmental financial reports. He achieved in Excellent Paper Awards from MOF and Accounting Society of China. |
