Dr. Zhang Weiguo, once studied in the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, and practiced at the DTT Melbourne office, Dr. Wei-Guo Zhang got his BA(1982), MA(1985), and Ph.D(1989). from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), where he later became a Ph.D. supervisor and the Head of Department of Accountancy. In early 2001, he was also appointed as a Ph.D. supervisor at Tsinghua University. Dr. Zhang has been serving actively in different professional organizations, including the Secretary General of the Chinese Accounting Professors Association, Council Member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Chinese Society of Accounting, Member of National Board of CPA Examination. He was appointed as the Chief Accountant of the China Securities Regulatory Commission in January 1997. Before that, he visited the City University of Hong Kong as a visiting fellow in the fall semester 1996. Dr. Zhang won the National Award of Outstanding Young Teacher in 1989, and National Award of Outstanding Educator in 1995. |
